What requirements do radio shuttle racking systems have for a shuttle cart?
In recent years, radio shuttle racking systems are more and more widely used in the storage industry because of their high storage rate and semi-automatic features that save a lot of manpower, material resources and financial cost.
Actually, the supporting part that plays a key role is a radio shuttle cart(pallet runner). The radio shuttle cart is an intelligent robot which can move pallets and other materials in the lane of shelves with guide rail. It can be programmed to automatically access, transport and place goods.
Since the radio shuttle cart is so important to radio shuttle racking, it must meet some requirements as below.
1. Save the time for forklift to access goods and reduce the working time of workers.
2. After receiving the save instruction, the shuttle cart can send the pallet to the furthest location deep in the lane.
3.Can be set two functions like continuous pallet access function.
4.Cargo sorting function (the first in, first out mode) : after receiving the sorting instruction, the shuttle cart will move the pallets to the outlet side one by one according to the first in, first out principle.
5.Counting function: after moving back and forth in the lane, the shuttle cart can count the number of pallets.
6. When the battery power is lower than the set power, the shuttle cart will protect itself. It will not accept any command and automatically return to the end of entrance. The power indicator lights flashing alarm is to prevent the shuttle cart from being unable to complete the operation due to insufficient power.
7. Emergency stop button is configured on the remote control of a shuttle cart. In any case, when the button is pressed, the corresponding shuttle cart will stop automatically after receiving the command and no longer execute any command.
